Our Mission

At Sword of the Spirit, our love for Jesus and our love for one another is manifested so that unbelievers will seek salvation through faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Sword of the Spirit Christian Center is a place where we can minister the love of God to the residents of Camden and local communities.  We want to let people know that there is hope in Christ in the face of this world's problems.

God is a God of our cities and our goal is to change lives and rebuild our cities through the Word of Faith, Healing and prosperity. The vision simply stated is to teach the Word of Faith in the inner-city with simplicity and understanding so that it may be applied to our lives, situations and problems we may encounter from day to day. When we change our lives, the lives of the people we reach through the power of the Holy Spirit will change, thereby causing change in our inner-cities.

What We Believe

The Scriptures

The bible is the inspired Word of God (Tim. 3:15-17 & Heb. 4:12).

The Godhead

Our God is one (Mk. 12:29) but manifested in three persons (John 15:26; Matt. 3:16-17).

Man, His Fall & Redemption

Man was created in the image of God;

Man transgressed through disobedience (Gen. 1:26, Gen 1:-7).

Redemption is provided through Christ Jesus (Eph. 2:8; Rom. 10:9-10).

The New Birth

(Salvation) and eternal live is the gift of God, separate

from works and the Law. (John 3:3-6; I John 5:10-13, Eph.2:8).

Water Baptism

Baptism is by immersion (Matt. 28:19, Acts 8:36-38).

Baptism in the Holy Ghost

It is subsequent to the New Birth and evidenced

by the speaking in other tongues (Matt. 3:11, Acts 1:8, Acts 19:1-7).

The Lord's Supper (Communion)

An ordinance of the church (I Cor. 11:23-26).

The Church

The Body of Christ is made up of all believers (I Cor. 11:23-26).

Total Prosperity

Spirit, soul and body, financially and socially (3rd John 3).

Our Soon Coming King

The appearance of our great god and Savior Jesus Christ.

(I Thess. 4:4-17, Acts 1:11, Titus 2:13).

Hell and Eternal Retribution

Any one who physically dies and has not accepted Jesus as Savior

is eternally lost in the lake of fire (Rev. 20:10-15; Rev. 19:20).
